Important. Should be modified for durability
Background
I have two tablets before the ground that the original Red Octane Ignition am (~ $ 80) and one (~ $ 60), whose name I forget (or are slightly Deluxe Ultra, I'm not sure). My level is about 7-9 "feet" in DDR Bemani games.
What I like about this pad:
1) Elevation button. There are extra foam pads under the keys, the other does not feel the arrow keys. Very useful. I have to no longer look down to adjust my position. My other pads do not have this.
2) a good sensitivity. I hit the exact center of the arrow keys to record. Very good for difficult songs. My other pads are too sensitive, even if they were new.
3) USB port. Although there are many good PS2-to-USB adapter, USB is a nice feature.
4) The use of foam seems to be the same quality in my Red Octane pad and is better than in my other pad.
I do not like:
1) The surface does not seem as durable as I hope. It seems even thinner than my Red Octane pad. However, after modding, it's good to go. Please see details below.
2) It is difficult to insert the foam for the first time. I think the coverage may not be quite tense. Please be careful not to apply too much force or you can break the seams.
--Durability/Modding---
Both started my earlier comments last about a year before the upper surface to destroy. (Red Octane least a little bit more and the others.) Unfortunately, not the new pad appear to be more durable than my last two. So this time I decided it mod. I Played for two weeks and was fine. Not modding seems the sensitivity effect, as I am concerned. The only thing is that the effect of the additional foam under the arrow is less clear that it is ideal. However, I used to look down from time to time so that I can live with .

In summary, this is a great relief for the money. It will probably take a long time if you're a casual player. If you are an intermediate player are ahead, I would recommend modding it.

Compatible with Stepmania
The pad is great. Works with my Dell PC with Windows XP. I have the foam, attached zip, and the USB cable that came with it and work in five minutes with StepMania. One weeks hard use and still perfect recognition of the steps. No delays. If you want cheap and at best this is. "
