Sony: "Games will lead the way" for 3D

SCEE president Andrew House said that "a perfect fit with 3D games expected" and lead them "the way to understand how consumers improved 3D entertainment experience."
"The games can be adapted relatively easily in 3D and this technology can add depth and make the games even more immersive than ever," he told the House PlayStation.com website (thanks VG247).
"As the games are in June [in conjunction with the introduction of a new 3D-TV Bravia] WipEout HD, Super Stardust HD, Pain, and a demo of MotorStorm Pacific Rift, we have some very exciting games in the horizon."
Asked if there are a lot of sense, is still behind Sony 3D because most people only bought an HDTV, and many did not even know that House has defended the strategy of Sony.
"It is important to us that we are always progressing with new technologies, especially if it is possible to define the new entertainment experience," he said. "As far as 3D is concerned, is the potential for 3D games are enormous and we only scratch the surface.
"Of course, like all new technologies are initially there are no barriers to entry, such as the cost of the TV. Apart from that, we believe it is our responsibility to get all consumers a choice. If you want money to spend on a new 3D-TV, then We provide you with 3D content, to play.
"This does not mean that priorities have changed. Our priority is still our traditional key Blu-ray Disc titles, and this does not mean that we have some fun 3D as well."
Speaking of electoral trends and new shiny House also said that while digital distribution is bad, Sony to continue to support his records plans, despite the development of online business.
"Right now, the disk-based is still very much what the consumer wants and is accustomed. However, there was a change in the attitude and technique to make that digital delivery is far more feasible and attractive," he said.
"It is our job to ensure that consumers have the choice between the two, if possible. As we develop this area, I can not really say at this moment, we are counted on many things outside our control, such as the speed of broadband. Things are changing fast, and we make sure we are prepared for these changes. "
A change could soon be a new premium model for the PlayStation Network, but House has been careful to make clear that people do not even know what they are already available for free for free.
"I can assure you that the PSN now know as a free service," he said. "It's something our competitors do not offer and something that shows our loyalty to the PlayStation community.
"Yes," said Kaz Hirai a few months ago we were just a premium service alongside the existing free service to sit and that this goal has not changed. 'Ll Find out more in the near future. "
Probably at E3, where we also hope that Gran Turismo to see 5th On this front, one of the questions (apparently four people PSN) "Gran Turismo 5 was just a myth?" To answer the house: "Absolutely not. It is amazing and beautiful will come soon." Right.
Something out what will have been launched in the near future in a recent PlayStation 3 firmware update is on, the option Other Linux operating system that the players are allowed to install on their console. House was asked about the game and had these words for those who feel insulted
"We are very aware of how the community has been vocal about this. I can assure you that was a very difficult decision to make for us, but we believe, is fully in the best long term interests of PlayStation and PlayStation communities."
