I recently had the chance to play with Alan Wake, and I have some info for you. Spoilers may in this article, so you roll the dice. Read on.
The game starts with our good friend Alan nightmare to have to reach a lighthouse. This is actually the level "tutorial that teaches you the basics of control by Alan's next adventure.
The controls are fairly simple and straightforward. LB Dodge, sticks work more or less than is expected of them, and are inviting and stuff like that is right where you expect it. You will certainly know the lack of a melee button though, and this will in the course of the game frustrating. Sometimes you just have not enough ammunition to kill your enemies, and sometimes it is far from the light that flickers frequently and breaks, as has been achieved, leaving screwed basically.
Alan girlfried "Alice" (Alan, Alice, do you understand?) Take him to a town called Bright Falls "on" vacation "witch turns out to actually be his property to him inspiration to write again. Alan suffers writer's block, a nerve very real and very stressful situation to be in Alan does not appreciate this gesture to be found, even Alice is pretty upset about the whole thing. you have a TIFF and Alice ends up disappearing into the darkness, that is what is fear.
Saving more juicy details, you can jump into the gameplay. I hate birds. The birds can live in my ass, I'm an enemy who did not attend to frustratingly fun. So the point of this article break for a second straight game developers and address, must be fun game. Fight against the enemy would be difficult, but should also be fun. I would never be pretty, "Oh, the birds again, and turn off the console. Never know where the birds and the sound squaking that can only be described as a precursor of death. I have never successfully dodged this enemy, the Best I could do, flail with my flashlight and I hope they leave me. If this is by design tell Sam Lake, to kiss my ass in person.
Back to the point where the birds are a terrible enemy, who met fortunately not too often but often enough for you to reel off a series of explitives after he heard /. Other enemies are normal townfolk, engineers, policemen and other people ... have been taken by the darkness becoming "Taken". Please note that some of these people are more in the darkness of others, to suck huge Taken, break through all the battery, just to the shroud, so that they can kill consumed. By Alan Wake, there are two phases to kill your enemy. First you need to choose the torch on them until their goal Flare shrinks and disappears, then you shoot him 2-6 times to kill him with a revolver. Other guns take less shots, and some weapons like the flare gun and flashbang can kill the enemy with light alone.
Enemy encounters feel never good enough, you always feel outnumbered and painfully confused. take only by avoiding the melee damage the opponent is difficult enough, but when you finally gain a little ground they have just started to throw hammers and wrenches and shit on you, which seem to have an infinite amount. This game could have been a challenge, but less frustrating without this feature.
Bug Report *** ***
Royal never short throw shit at you.
Expected I'm short of keys at a certain point, really, that leads many keys?
Action taken: it works as expected. No change.
*** *** End Bug Report
I would have liked it if this feature was discussed.
"So I thought, can throw things Taken"
"What kind of things"
"You know, like keys and hammers and knives and shit"
"Cool idea, I can continue and if you stop melee range can throw a wrench or similar to you"
"Well, not 'A' key '
"Oh, how many"
"I do not know how some key spammable as a key, as if out of range Scrum simply always throw the keys and shit"
"Well, if it like 5 Caught in a meeting"
"It's better than good in dodging the keys"
"Fuckin 'A, give this guy to throw pay"
I apologize for the run-in. I just get very excited thinking of trying this stuff and how in hell as a feature that is implemented.
There are also "Boss" Taken, "which are just as to require but a long time to de-darkify. Plus every time you turn the light on them, they blur and run very fast. So just hang there, Shine Your Light, look around, such as commercials again repeat Shine a Light. The funniest thing is the boss that they are actually less anxiety, a normal face are made, not as dangerous as the birds.
No one is afraid or as frustrating as poulterguiest objects. Barrels, spindles, drive train, car by car, shit of every shape and size can through the dark and the only way, it is to kill it, suck your entire supply brand Energizer Lithium batteries are manipulated.
Thats right people, Energizer Lithium Batteries brand. You know, because you will put lithium batteries in the Energizer brand, after all the shit in a game. I am surprised that the game does not prompt says "Press B to collect Energizer Lithium BATTERIES brand" and I was shocked that there is a scene of the game in which the Energizer Bunny can by pounding, pounding on his drum. This would be a great super weapon.
Summon Energizer Bunny
What could be the counter
KEY SPAM
I digress. The "guiest objects are a gigantic pain in the ass to her" Come to life float, and stir for a few seconds, then flies ridiculous speed to kill. The best way I have created, to counteract which it is, some have set object properties between you and the object.
The speaking order of the list of things that are the parts of the trip. These are some of the best parts of the game, except for the fact that a simple wooden fence, is sufficient to stop a truck on the spot. They know sometimes' t that you don on the right track, it's simply time to leave the vehicle.
The story is pretty good and is in a way that is represented pretty cool, if not exactly "new". Alone in the Dark has practically the same thing, only completely absorbed the whole time. Alan Wake is at least entertaining and captivating in the story. When you talk to anyone is at Remedy, you say that this is an innovative storytelling game, but to be honest, Mass Effect, it proposes two hands down.
There are a lot of fun, was with Alan Wake, but it has its faults. In general, it is a good game worth play through.
