playstation 3 coupons ps3
Which version of the Playstation 3 should I buy? 40 GB or 80 GB?
I have a coupon at Best Buy at 20% discount on a Blu-Ray and could work with a PS3. Except none of my local Best Buys have a 80GB PS3 and I do not know when they will get. Which of these is the best option?
A) Go to Best Buy and use my coupon for a 40 GB PS3 with Spiderman 3 is coming to Blu Ray for $ 320 (plus VAT) to obtain
or
B) Go to Gamestop and use my gift card $ 25 for a 80GB PS3 with Motorstorm and 5 free Blu Ray movies for about $ 516 (comes with tax)
This question is often one, copy and paste my answer:
1). 20GB has no chrome trim, no memory card reader and no Wi-Fi. Is no longer manufactured. It has installed the best compatibility with PS2 games due to Emotion Engine (PS2 CPU) and Graphics Synthesizer (PS2 GPU).
2). NTSC 60GB has the same backwards compatibility as 20GB version, also has memory card reader and Wi-Fi. It has a chrome trim. Is no longer manufactured.
3). 80GB - extended memory, but reduced backwards compatibility with PS2 games, has only Graphics Synthesizer (PS2 GPU). Approximately 60-80% of PS2 games can be played. Available only in NTSC regions.
4). 40GB - can not play all PS2 games (all PS2 chips were removed), has 2 USBs instead of 4, no memory card reader, is Wi-Fi. Available in white and black. White is for sale only in Japan. Uses 65nm technology (lower power consumption). Improved cooling. It is the latest version. 40GB does not support SACD (Super Audio Compact Disc).
5). PAL 60GB - reduced backwards compatibility with PS2 games. has only Graphics Synthesizer (PS2 GPU). About 80% of PS2 games can be played.
Wi-Fi included in all models, except 20GB.
They are all based on Blu-ray based.
