im buying a new game system ps3 or xbox 360?
PRICE
First ... the price ... I am so sick of idiots saying how the PS3 is too expensive. If you have a child, no job, $ 600 are is not too much. Even with a part-time work would take less than a year savings.
And it's worth it. Look at this way, the PS3 as a computer room to act, with a 60 GB hard drive, wired for Wi-Fi and free internet browser, but at 360 you must pay an annual fee for live. So you can keep your music and movies to the hard drive 60 GB internal hard drive or external USB to another computer and play it on Wi-Fi. And no doubt there will soon be aftermarket opportunities to use it as a video recorder and / or play. Exe games to them.
You can also use it as a player for next-generation Blu-ray, and the quality will cost as much as standalones and the PS3 is much less than standalones. The cost of $ 360,199 for an HD-DVD player and can not even use HDMI.
So the PS3 is actually a Blu-Ray ($ 699), a HD Media Center PC Living Room ($ 999) and a games console better than 360 or Wii hardware as
($ 599). This means that the PS3 worth $ 2,097, the value in a $ 599 bundle
Well, if this has not convinced, here is a list of prices, the costs over five years to try the console as possible.
List PS3:
$ 599.99 console
$ 49.99 for the extra controller
$ 9.99 Add to HDMI cable (you can use any generic)
Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset $ 24.99 (for Internet play)
$ 14.99 for the Memory Stick (old PS2 and PS games)
$ 1,200 for 20 games (over 5 years)
Total: $ 1,899.95
360 list:
$ 399.99 console
$ 199.99 for the HD-DVD drive (using the next generation)
Intercooler for $ 19.99 (required to solve the problem, cooling)
$ 19.99 for the charge and play kit
$ 47.99 for the extra controller
to bring $ 49.99 for 40 GB external hard drive (up to the same size HDD PS3)
$ 249.95 for a 5-year subscription LIVE (PS3 has all the features for FREE)
$ 1,200 for 20 games (over 5 years)
Total: $ 2,187.89
PS3 is more convenient for the complete package in five years. Also, because the 360 games on DVD are available now, not nearly to the sound and picture quality are the PS3 games. Maybe later on the 360 HD-DVD games will be, but until then, the PS3 has superior games.
And also because the price of Blu-ray will be significantly faster than the HD-DVD drop in a few years, the PS3 would be the same price if not lower than the 360, not to mention the games would be around the same price like 360 games on DVD and probably cheaper than all the games possible HD-DVD future.
Other components, whose prices fall faster on the PS3 that the 360 of the Cell processor, dual-channel RAM and advanced GPU would be, making the PS3 cheaper than the 360 total in just one year.
In conclusion, the PS3 is cheaper overall, especially if you wait for one and 2 years. Sure the Wii is cheaper than both, but not in the same league as the 360 and PS3 hardware-wise.
-------------------------
GAMES
Games on 360 of First Person Shooters are mastered, and if you love RPG be bitterly disappointed you, the only role-playing Oblivion on 360, while the PS3 is now the focus is mainly on sports and RPGs, but soon have more FPS.
The result would be the hardcore fans to 360 fps prefer prefer most other players, serious or casual, the PS3.
-------------------------
Average performance
With a Blu-Ray and a built-in HDD PS3 is more dominant here. The 360 is for the full year to hardcore gamers, the Wii is for casual gaming on the whole. The PS3 can mix two of these and add functionality decent Media Center. The only missing what is the possibility of video recording, and I am convinced that a Sony, a third party or a corporate black market is a way to do it. The Media Center on 360 unique feature is the Windows Media Center Extender, the additional cost (I'm pretty sure)
PS3 wins hands down this
-------------------------
GAMING
There are few areas where the 360 beats the PS3 and the games lineup is one of them. Currently the 360 has a much better lineup than the PS3 in terms of serious games and the Wii PS3 beats in the Casual Gaming. Currently, only the players will have the lineup PS3 RPG fans, especially the Final Fantasy series is drawn only on PS3. But remember the 360 had a big lead and devoloped Wii is for casual games. I was surprised, the Wii was not issued with a Pokemon RPG, taking into account the success of the series.
The 360 wins this, even with a lead
-------------------------
HD content
Blu-Ray games. Must I say more? The 360 has a chance to upgrade to the latest HD DVD playback and the Wii has no HD option whatsoever.
PS3 wins
-------------------------
Backward compatibility
The Wii wins this, presumably to be backwards compatible with all Nintendo, the NES. Working as a cartridge-based system with a DVD of the Wii is upon me, though.
PS3 is in second place, and compatible with all PS2 and PS1 games in the U.S. and Japan, with most PS2 and PS1 games, all in Europe and Asia Pacific.
The 360 is the last one here, just working with some Xbox games that work, each with a separate species.
Wii wins this round, followed closely by the PS3
-------------------------
Compatibility Handheld Devices
I'm not really sure this is the Wii and PS3 here is very close.
Compatibility The Wii is unknown to me. I do not see how it can work with each other than the original Game Boy and Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter or cable connections to the GBA and GB Micro GBA SP. With the DS, but there are a few ways. The original DS could use is peer-to-peer wireless network and the new DS Lite could use Wi-Fi.
The PSP can be used as an indicator, an additional controller or a remote with the PS3, which offers an unprecedented level of compatibility to be used.
The 360 does not on the portable console as of yet, but the Zune has limited connectivity with the 360
PS3 wins this by a hair.
-------------------------
Compatibility with third party products
The PS3 is connected to the external hard drive, Bluetooth or USB headset, a wired or wireless Bluetooth and USB keyboards and mice when they are created and installed the drivers and 3rd party controllers are in training. And Bluetooth and infrared remote control should work with the drivers.
The 360 is only compatible with Microsoft keyboards certificates, mouse and headset, but 3rd party controllers are in training.
Compatibility with the Wii is not yet known.
PS3 wins this easily.
-------------------------
MULTIPLAYER
Wireless Multiplayer PS3 and 360 are more or less the same, but the PS3 wins because it is multiplayer for free.
Physical Wii multiplayer is the best for family fun and parties, the PS3 and 360 are the same for Serious Games.
It really depends on the multiplayer
-------------------------
Fun
Casual Gaming:
Wii wins this hands down. Wii games are fun and just someone playing with the Wii Remote is fun.
For a bit 'of everything
This is the kind that sells normally has the most comprehensive and Sony dominated this time and continue to do so with the PS3
Serious Gaming
followed by 360, followed closely by the PS3. The Wii has no place in it.
-------------------------
CALL
The first people to buy a console in general, are lovers of a particular standard only on this console, the younger children and rabid fanboys. The Wii has all three aplently why it sold out quickly. The Wii speaks especially for families and children at the age of 12 years, not to mention fans of Pokemon and Mario ultracasual and players.
The 360 appeals to hardcore gamers, usually 16 years, and has games that appeal to these people.
The PS3 is applicable to virtually everyone, EyeToy, Buzz and Guitar Hero is the best friend or the parties and their families, not to mention small children, role playing and shooter for lighter more casual players and the full first person shooter for more hardcore players.
-------------------------
HARDWARE
The PS3 this triumph with his advance ram dual channel, high-end Nvidia GPU HD and Cell proccessor ultra-modern, not to mention that Blu-Ray drive and sound card 7.1HD
Xbox 360 comes in second, with good RAM and high-end HD ATI GPU with the CPU in place and sound card.
The Wii comes in a pathetic third here, with terrible graphics, worse than the PS2 and Xbox, a proccessor RAM weak and slow. Not to mention the fact the graphics and 5.1 surround sound are both standard definition.
-------------------------
Graphics and Sound
The PS3 can win this, with an excellent NVIDIA GPU out of the box 1080p high definition and produce 7.1 surround.
The 360 is in second place here, with the company in response to ATI GPU PS3 rivals, only a little worse and a decent 7.1 surround sound card, which unfortunately is not used to its maximum performance in games.
As already mentioned, the Wii in this way, terrible, worse than with graphics and 3D PS2 rarely used and in the first Party games. The sound card is not so great, the Standard Definition Surround 5.1 features.
-------------------------
OTHER FACTORS
The 360 and the lack of 1080p HD-DVD out of the box are very clear, as the inability to use HDMI. The payment of subscriptions to online gaming is a bad idea, especially since both the PS3 and Wii offer for you for free.
The only things wrong the PS3 is the lack of HDMI or component out of the box, the lack of availability of stock early, high-off starting price that even implement a system of board games and small lineup, the absence of Blu- Ray has not agreed on the fact that there is a fingerprint magnet is the question. You also have the best design (my opinion), a flash memory card Sony Memory is limited to family and its free online service stick rivals that of Xbox Live Gold. Not well implemented on, for compatibility with the PSP, that has enormous potential to be silent.
The Wii is the lack of high-definition content, including, bad games lineup for all but the more casual players and graphical games and terrible sound quality are major disadvantages. The lack of user accessible hard drive is not a good move. A big advantage is the cost and has exclusive rights to many of the games of the series that the use of games as young as Pokemon, Mario and Zelda. I can not see but a serious player with the Wii as a console.
-------------------------
CONCLUSION
I believe that in 3-5 years the PS3 console, the most important, with 360 still an option for serious gamers and the Wii is the way of the Gamecube (only children and lovers of Nintendo Fanboy owned) or Nintendo will be published that another console is fun, but not a realistic option for a player. Of course, this assumption is that the Blu-Ray format war (probably because they are already 90% of the computer market because of their own PCs and notebooks from Dell, wins the Mac Pro and the Sony VAIO notebooks, and even in the majority of market for HD movies), or both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD disc to remain strong, and any other new generation is released and is successful.
Console and a passionate lover of rap,

PS: I have now is, I pre-order all three tested for a few days, then sold on eBay for several times their original price. After the test, all three believe that spend the money, I from the operation of Ebay and a little bit "of my savings to a PC game made with better specifications and the PS3 when the price dropped significantly to buy in about a year. Most of the things published here are the facts derived from research, although the percentage was evidence of my opinion and is a fraction of a percent.
