Not really much to say, on the same console ... It's the same old PS2 into a smaller package. The fact that this system is still strong after 10 years speaks for itself.
What I can say however that may bang for the buck current PS2 Slim will not be passed by value, especially considering that this is a new factory. The true value lies not in the console, such as a large library of games available, and the fact that today most of these games dirt cheap.

Pros:

* Compatible with PS1, even more for the classics
* PS and PS2 games are much cheaper than the PS3 or Xbox 360, PS2 and accessories may be used publicly available
* Get both a Slim PS3 and PS2 slim + accessories, is now more convenient than searching for a backwards compatible PS3, and you are guaranteed 100% compatible ... Do not waste your money to the volatile PS3 60GB length.
* In less well on the Wii than what the PS2 is probably the best bang-for-buck deal at stake
Cons:
* An earlier generation of consoles, so no new games coming out for them (only the major current and excellent catalog)
* The graphic is not as good as the last generation console
* Definitely not HD

Thank God for Sony is not abandoning its (very good) PS2 library Nintendo has done so much for their console classic. You will not have the latest and greatest, but you are one of the many excellent time-tested games, and with a PS2 cheap the last available PS3 does not seem so bad does not backwards compatible.

This system is a must have! This all games released for the PS2. These games are now at 30% of their original price to have and many of them are still a wonder to see and play. The system can bear 10 years, but his weight now. Two of them are in our house. One is the large TV screen (thats right ... it looks good on HDTV is connected). And one in my office. I can not believe that the PS2 is still around. Where is the Game Cube, where the Xbox, I'll say there are dead and two water thats where I am. I resurected my PS2 Slim out of the box. Why thank SFIV (soon have SSFIV in two days). It has to struggle and renewed my love of games fighting games in particular 2-D. By calling the game like Street Fighter Anniversary Collection anthology Alpha, Guilty Gear Accent Core Plus, Arcana Heart, and King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match a few. It is a good console if you like fighting games. Guilty Gear and KOF 1998, published in the last year. You're still a good fighting games for this thing. They are updated to existing titles. But they are the best money can buy, for a good price for this. I have a PS3 and Wii. Loveme to death, but has this thing in my car Ultimat fighting game. A great game console
One thing that not a lot of people talk to the PS2 is their responsibility, mainly because not much to say. Update Sony uses a controller that was very familiar to its loyal customers by only one new pair. In the meantime, both Sega and Microsoft, the console control pad was cut off. People said Sega should not be given yet also, the Microsoft controller was too big (one friend described it once as "like a bowl of cereal without the fun").
All around, I like the PS2. The graphics are good and the games will be released in the usually very funny. While Microsoft has given a decent system, a great development was the half assed in comparison. Do not knock or Xbox fan, I was just a little 'of their operating system and some of their hardware selection disappointed.
What really amazes me about the PS2 is now that he has confirmed. It is still relevant after all next-gen console released.
